Integrating DAaZ furniture into the coffee shop space

Mr. Tan is an old friend of DAaZ for many years, and he is the one who supplies the coffee beans in the DAaZ Dongguan showroom.

Focusing on coffee for fifteen years, he has always believed that DAaZ's furniture, concept and coffee fit very well, and both can convey a sense of warmth.

So, when planning his second coffee shop, Cheng & Coffee, he decided to build it around the DAaZ space.

Commissioned by Mr. Tan, the entire coffee space was designed by Mr. Jin of DAaZ, and from the space to the soft furnishings, it can almost be called a coffee shop version of DAaZ.

Located in the central business district of Dongguan, you can see a special store a hundred meters away from the parking lot and walk through the open space in front of the building, which is particularly striking against the surrounding tall buildings. 

The exterior wall of the store is made of earth-colored art paint, and the traces of hand-painting are deliberately preserved in the painting process to continue a perceptible original gesture.

Inside the store, the 70-square-meter space is decorated with the same art paint from the DAaZ showroom, and the rich texture and silent tones harmonize a quiet and soothing space atmosphere.

The space is shaped by the transformation of straight and curved lines, and a sense of originality is created by local wood veneer, beams, niches and other elements. The rounded top above the production table is designed to soften the visual effect while giving the whole area a sense of spaciousness and openness.

In addition, the curved back wall of the production table echoes the curved elements of the doorway, maintaining a harmonious visual relationship.

The interior soft furnishings emphasize originality, and the furniture used are all DAaZ matching products. Although they involve many different series of DAaZ products, they still blend with each other when they are all placed in the same space.

With the light conditions at different times of the day, the interior will show different changes of light and dark. During the day, the room is mainly illuminated by external natural light, and in the afternoon, the strong sunlight is softened by linen curtains to produce rich light and shadow effects, as if the whole space is added with a warm filter.

The light source at night is mainly through recessed ceiling lights and kosa-vastu woven chandeliers, and the scattered light sources make the coffee space more soothing at night.

The business atmosphere outside does not blur the temperament of Cheng and coffee, the fast pace of the office building and the lazy and slow tone of coffee, the two contrasting temperaments are not unable to coexist, but provide a small place for people to breathe under the fast-paced working environment.

Unlike the flash-type Internet coffee shop, Mr. Tan has been focusing on coffee for 15 years, the first coffee shop opened in Dongguan "heritage" has been the oldest brand of Dongguan coffee, with the strength to harvest a number of loyal fans. From raw bean screening to roasting all adopt their own standards, in order to extract a richer taste of coffee more purchased a 200,000 yuan worth of the world's top coffee machine SYNESSO MVP.

From a raw bean to a cup of coffee, what is at stake here is not only the taste of coffee itself, but more of a coffee culture and artisanal experience. This kind of sincerity and persistence, the same DAaZ in the product process has always stressed.

For the working class, coffee is more often a beverage used to relieve boredom, but in life, coffee is a kind of existence that makes people feel leisurely and healing. The combination of DAaZ space and coffee aesthetics is also intended to convey this cozy, life-loving atmosphere and culture to everyone.
